Billfish Marina by Holland Engineering

Billfish Marina

We have provided both Stormwater Certification (5-year Stormwater Renewal) and NPDES Marina services for Billfish Marina.

Since its opening in 1956, Billfish Marina has been a family-run, full-service marina, located seven miles inland on the New River. The full-service boatyard features a 70-ton lift and enclosed paint tent, as well as dockage space for vessels up to 130-feet long. Billfish Marina was acquired by Bradford Marine in 2020.

We have provided both Stormwater Certification (5-year Stormwater Renewal) and NPDES Marina services for Billfish Marina.

Our experienced NPDES State Certified Inspectors handled all aspects of compliance requirements, including: inspections, illicit discharge detection and elimination, outfall monitoring, water sampling and employee training and risk prevention. We assist with the required DMRs (Discharge Monitoring Reports) and handle site compliance reports, including necessary corrective actions per FDEP requirements.

Industrial activity within marinas and boatyards – routine cleaning, boat repair/handling/storage, equipment maintenance and other activities – combined with detrimental weather conditions common to Florida – lead to extreme stormwater and waterway pollution.

NPDES (National Pollution Discharge Elimination System) is a provision of the Clean Water Act, which prohibits discharge of pollutants into United States’ waters. We reduce your liability risks and provide full visibility into all environmental changes within the marina.

We are readily available to our clients, honoring their time and appreciated for doing so. This eliminates any stress our clients would otherwise endure while dealing with the permit renewal process for SWPPPs (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans) and renewing/updating BMPs (Best Management Practices).
